The Labour Court adjourned Services Industrial Professional Technical Union’s claim for pay parity at Premier Dairies Limited until the first week of October 1990, pending a company review. The recommendation was signed on 21 July 1990. The union sought the same pay scale for area sales managers as for sales operations managers. The company said the latter roles carried greater responsibility and had given two sales operations managers a £2,100 increase in 1988. The Court said the matter could be reheard if the union requested it after the review.
