The Labour Court recommended that Warner Lambert Ireland Limited and the Services Industrial Professional Technical Union agree to appoint an assessor to compare the work of 29 biochemical operators with duties normally expected in the field. The recommendation was signed on 12 July 1990. The union had sought a £300 lead-in payment and an additional £25 a week for the operators, who worked on purified lung extract production. The Court said it would nominate an assessor if the parties could not agree on an appointment and asked it to do so.
