In 1988, the Labour Court recommended that Manufacturing, Science And Finance Union accept Dairyland Limited's pay offer for 22 sales, office administration and depot employees. The recommendation was signed on 9 June 1988. The offer included a three-month pay pause with a £50 lead-in payment, followed by staged increases. The union also sought a bonus, a V.H.I. contribution and service-based leave. The Court cited the fact that many workers in similar grades had accepted the same terms.
