The Labour Court did not recommend conceding the Irish Transport and General Workers' Union’s claim against Wellman International Limited for compensation over lost overtime. The recommendation was signed on 29 January 1987. The union sought compensation for 23 warehouse workers after contractors took over servicing external warehouses, work for which the workers had received overtime pay. Wellman International Limited said its comparison of earnings and hours for March to October in 1985 and 1986 showed no loss.
