WRC makes no recommendation for healthcare worker in dismissal dispute

The WRC made no recommendation in favour of a healthcare worker who challenged his dismissal, after an adjudication officer found no fault with the process. The recommendation was dated 11 December 2025. The worker said he was dismissed without proper procedure after denying allegations of abuse and failures in care. The employer said it followed fair procedures and dismissed him for gross misconduct. The officer said the dispute was beyond resolution while a Garda investigation was under way, and that he could offer no relief under the Industrial Relations Act.
