The WRC recommended that a company pay a worker €2,770 gross, equivalent to three weeks’ wages, after finding merit in the worker’s dispute over a probationary dismissal. Adjudication Officer Seamus Clinton dated the recommendation on 28 August 2026. The worker said he was called to a meeting without notice on 2 December 2025 and dismissed that day. The company said his performance fell short and he did not pass probation. Clinton found there were insufficient records of underperformance and said fair procedures still applied during probation. He noted that the worker was dismissed without notice during a six-month probation period. The recommendation settles the dispute in full and final terms.
