The Labour Court recommended that Aterim Aerospace Aviation Ltd pay a worker compensation equal to two weeks’ salary after finding the company was not fully compliant with the Code of Practice on Grievance and Disciplinary Procedures. The recommendation was dated 22 November 2024. The worker said she had not been told about performance concerns before her employment was terminated on 31 January 2024. Aterim said she was still in a six-month probation period and cited concerns about her behaviour, performance and capability. The Court noted that she had not been told in advance about the termination meeting’s purpose or her right to representation under the Code.
