The WRC found no merit in a hospital worker’s claim for premium pay lost during COVID-19 isolation. Adjudication Officer Seamus Clinton dated the recommendation 19 January 2024. The worker said he could have been assigned alternative duties at home while isolating. The hospital relied on circulars governing premium payments. Clinton found that the worker was available for work and had to work the relevant premium days or hours to qualify for the payments. He found no merit in the dispute.
