The Workplace Relations Commission recommended that a worker use her employer’s grievance procedure and that the employer introduce a dignity-at-work policy. The recommendation was dated 18 December 2023. The worker said she raised concerns orally with her line manager about comments by committee members, but had not made written complaints or pursued a stage-two grievance. The employer said she had sometimes asked the manager not to proceed and had not provided details needed to investigate. The officer recommended that the manager remind workers of the grievance process when concerns are raised orally and that staff and committee members receive training on the new policy.
