The Labour Court dismissed A Worker's disability discrimination complaint against A General Practitioner, finding that the worker had not proved facts from which discrimination could be inferred. The determination was dated 24 April 2006.
The worker was employed as a practice nurse on a one-year contract. The Court accepted that the real and dominant reason the doctor did not renew her contract was an acrimonious exchange between her and his wife, the practice manager. The Court said that reason was not good or reasonable, but found that this alone did not establish disability discrimination.
