Labour Court dismisses Michailidis appeal as out of time

The Labour Court dismissed Michail Michailidis’s appeal after finding his victimisation complaint against Luxor Leisure Ltd Radisson Blu Royal Hotel was made outside the statutory time limit. The determination was dated 27 February 2023. Michailidis said illness and the pandemic had made it difficult to file after his employment ended in March 2020. The company argued there was no reasonable cause for the delay. The Court found no causal link between his illness or the pandemic and the late filing, and said he had not established reasonable cause. The complaint was outside the time limit and was not well founded; the merits were not decided.
