The Labour Court recommended that George Kirwan pay Kevin McMullen a £150 cheque after finding no documentary evidence that an earlier award had been paid. The determination was dated 11 December 1998. McMullen had complained that a Rights Commissioner’s decision awarding him £150 net in full settlement of his claim had not been implemented. Kirwan said he had paid the award, but the Court found the evidence conflicted. It said McMullen must sign proof of receipt of the cheque.
