The Labour Court rejected security officer Adrian Doroghi’s appeal against Synergy Security Solutions Limited, his former employer, and upheld the Adjudication Officer’s decision. The decision was signed on 25 February 2025. Doroghi said the company remained liable for working-time entitlements he had sought before his employment transferred. The Court found he had named the wrong respondent: under Regulation 4 of S.I. 131/2003, employment-related liabilities passed to the transferee. It therefore could not hear the underlying complaint under the Organisation of Working Time Act 1997, reference CA-00057071-002.
