The Labour Court allowed Evaldas Paulavicius's appeal against Kelly Brothers (Roadlines) Limited and overturned the Rights Commissioner's decision. It awarded him €1,000 for breaches of working-time rules, replacing the earlier €500 award. The Court found breaches of the 11-hour daily rest rule on two occasions and found that Paulavicius worked an average of just under 50 hours a week, exceeding the 48-hour limit. It also found a breach of the rule requiring notice of additional hours. His complaint about meal breaks was not well founded.
