The Labour Court set aside a Rights Commissioner’s decision and found that Kildownet Utilities Ltd did not breach working-time rules. The determination was dated 22 July 2010. Valeriu Rovenco had appealed after his original case failed because he did not attend before the Rights Commissioner; the merits were not decided at that stage. Rovenco alleged he missed a meal break after 6.30pm and worked more than an average of 48 hours a week. The Court found no breach of the meal-break rule and that, after meal breaks were counted, he did not exceed the average weekly-hours limit. A separate claim about sections 17 and 20 was withdrawn.
