The Labour Court determined on 19 April 2006 that Dunnes Stores should provide canteen facilities at its new store to a standard no less favourable than those at the former store. It also directed both Dunnes Stores and Mandate Trade Union to observe their procedural agreement when handling staff grievances. The Court found the dispute over an earlier recommendation remained unresolved because Dunnes had given no firm indication of how or when it would implement it. The Court declined the union’s claim for a disturbance payment.
