In 1991, the Labour Court ruled that a worker’s service with T.S. Hughes Limited from 5 September 1983 to 18 April 1988 was covered by the Agricultural Workers Employment Regulation Order. The worker asked the Court to review an earlier decision on his service before 1986, relying on a Department of Social Welfare finding that he had been employed under a contract of service insured at PRSI Class A. T.S. Hughes Limited did not contest the application. The Court dated its decision 27 September 1991.
