The Workplace Relations Commission ordered O’Meara Aspect Holdings Ltd Construction to pay apprentice carpenter Eoghan Ryan €2,274.46 in unpaid wages, subject to lawful deductions. Adjudication Officer Pat Brady found Ryan’s minimum-wage complaint well founded in a decision dated 8 May 2026. Ryan said he was paid the apprenticeship rate while unregistered and should have received the National Minimum Wage. The company did not attend the hearing or provide an explanation. Brady found it had failed to register Ryan for more than two months while continuing to pay the apprenticeship rate. The public-holiday element of the complaint was not determined.
