WRC rejects nurse’s €1,952.23 underpayment claim against Fresenius

The Workplace Relations Commission found João Pereira was not underpaid in his final salary payment from Fresenius Medical Care, rejecting his complaint under the Payment of Wages Act. Adjudication Officer Breiffni O'Neill dated the decision 11 August 2026. Pereira said his final payment was short by €1,952.23 because approved annual leave and certified sick leave should have been paid at his normal rate. Fresenius said his annual salary was paid monthly and prorated to his employment end date. The officer accepted calendar-day proration and found no wages properly payable had been withheld.
