The Workplace Relations Commission upheld three complaints by security guard Ankit Rawat against Yss Pvt Ltd and awarded compensation under each. Adjudication Officer Penelope McGrath’s decision was dated 22 July 2026.
The WRC found the company failed to identify the security-industry employment regulation order in Rawat’s terms or explain where he could obtain it, and did not pay a Sunday premium. It also found the company failed to provide benefits under the order. Rawat had worked as a security guard and was stabbed by a third party while on duty. The decision awarded €1,280, €350 and €3,400 under the three upheld complaints. Three other complaints were withdrawn.
