The Workplace Relations Commission did not uphold Thomas Michael Bennett’s complaint against Bank Of Ireland because it had been brought under the wrong statute. The decision was dated 10 April 2026; the merits were not decided. Bennett alleged age discrimination after an interviewer saw him on camera during recruitment for a Business Continuity and Resilience Manager role. Bank Of Ireland said another candidate had more relevant financial-services experience and scored higher. The adjudicator said the incident Bennett relied on played no part in the final selection decision.
