WRC finds Seamus Mc Eneaney entitled to redundancy lump sum

The Workplace Relations Commission found Seamus Mc Eneaney entitled to a redundancy lump sum after his employment with Muckno Hotels Limited T/A The Glencarn Hotel ended when the business ceased trading. The decision was dated 16 April 2026. Mc Eneaney, a maintenance worker, said he had not received a payment and that the hotel did not respond to his RP77 form. The employer did not attend the hearing. The WRC found the employment ended by reason of redundancy and made the entitlement subject to his having been in insurable employment during the relevant period.
