WRC cannot hear creche worker’s discrimination complaint filed late

The Workplace Relations Commission had no jurisdiction to hear Valbone Delijaj’s employment equality complaint against Home From Home Creche because it was filed outside the six-month limit and she did not establish reasonable cause for an extension, a decision dated 27 February 2026 found. Delijaj said she delayed because she was upset after leaving her job and had been told by the WRC to submit the complaint. The creche denied her claims. The adjudicator did not decide the underlying discrimination allegations.
