The Workplace Relations Commission awarded Nadine Lattimore €500 after finding she was discriminated against on the disability ground at a Circle K service. The decision, dated 3 November 2025, also directed Ard Services Ltd to educate its workforce about the role of guide dogs.
Lattimore said a staff member questioned her right to enter the premises with her guide dog. Ard Services Ltd denied discriminating against her. After reviewing CCTV, the adjudicator found the staff approach clumsy at best or a misunderstanding of the guide-dog relationship at worst. The adjudicator also noted that guide dogs were not specifically covered in staff training.
