WRC rejects Grace Brannock’s constructive dismissal complaint against Carlow Dental Centre Carlow Dental Centre (Cdc) Ltd

The Workplace Relations Commission found that Grace Brannock was not unfairly dismissed, in a decision dated 7 May 2026. She claimed constructive dismissal after resigning during a redundancy consultation, citing reduced duties, a possible redundancy and the handling of her grievance. The clinic said it paused the redundancy process to address her concerns. The WRC found the employer’s conduct was not unreasonable and that Brannock resigned before giving the clinic enough time to investigate her grievance. Three other complaints had been withdrawn before determination.
