The Workplace Relations Commission ordered Capital Care Moate Limited to pay former dentist Seyedeparisa Hosseiny €17,000 in compensation for unpaid wages, commission and fees. The WRC upheld one of her three Payment of Wages Act complaints and found the other two not well-founded.
In a decision dated 23 January 2026, WRC Adjudication Officer Catherine Byrne found the clinic had not disputed the amount owed and had provided no evidence of patient complaints or negligence to justify withholding it. The employer also had not given written particulars of any loss before making a deduction. Its managing director had argued that patient-related costs after Hosseiny’s departure caused a €21,000 loss.
