The Workplace Relations Commission found Stirling Taylor was unfairly dismissed by P Mulrine And Sons (Sales) Unlimited Company and ordered three separate payments: €6,552 compensation for unfair dismissal, €5,625 for statutory notice and €1,875 over missing individual terms of employment. Adjudication Officer Shay Henry’s decision was dated 27 July 2026. Henry found the company’s process unfair, including its failure to give Taylor advance written notice of the keg issue. The company said Taylor’s use of a supplier account to buy a tool for a colleague and arrange keg sales breached procedures. Henry found Taylor misunderstood a colleague’s authority, paid in full and did not act dishonestly.
