WRC orders Bidvest Noonan to pay €300 over unlawful wage deduction

The Workplace Relations Commission has ordered Bidvest Noonan to pay security guard S A H M Rasel €300 compensation after finding that a deduction from his wages was unlawful. The decision was dated 25 November 2025. Rasel challenged a deduction for paid on-the-job training after he declined to return to his initial work site. Bidvest Noonan accepted that a contractual training deduction did not apply because he remained employed at another site, and repaid the deducted wages in three payments. The adjudication officer said compensation remained reasonable because the unlawful deduction had occurred.
