WRC rejects disability discrimination complaint against Centra Parnell Street

The Workplace Relations Commission did not uphold Nadine Lattimore’s disability discrimination complaint against Nm Palmerston Retail Investments t/a Centra Parnell Street, finding no prohibited conduct. No award was made. The decision was dated 29 September 2025. Lattimore alleged that a staff member initially told her dogs were not allowed when she entered with her Guide Dog. The company accepted that the employee did not recognise the dog immediately, but said the error was corrected within seconds and she was invited in. The adjudication officer found the incident was promptly addressed and did not establish discrimination.
