The Workplace Relations Commission awarded former kitchen porter Nora Paniagua Leaños €1,000 compensation after finding Leeson Catering Ltd (In Liquidation) failed to honour an agreed tips distribution. In a decision dated 1 September 2025, it also awarded her €2,022.64 for unpaid wages and €985.86 for public holiday and annual leave entitlements. Paniagua Leaños said she had received €80 a week in tips, with her last payment on 12 December 2024. The WRC upheld her claim that the agreed distribution had not been honoured. She withdrew a separate working-time complaint, saying she had made an error completing the form.
