The Workplace Relations Commission found that Ses Water Management unfairly dismissed Aaron Hogan and awarded him €10,585 in compensation. In a decision dated 14 April 2026, the adjudication officer found Hogan had reasonably resigned after the managing director involved him in an effort to get a former colleague to withdraw a WRC complaint.

Hogan said the managing director threatened his employment if the colleague did not withdraw the complaint. The managing director denied threatening to sack Hogan, while the adjudicator found Hogan’s account credible and the managing director’s conduct unreasonable. Compensation was reduced by 50% because Hogan did not raise a formal grievance or mention the issue in his resignation email.
