The Workplace Relations Commission directed Parnells Gaa Club to pay Ruta Doyle €4,800 for six weeks’ notice and €1,250 compensation for unpaid public holidays, including the outstanding holiday payments. The decision was dated 24 July 2025.

Doyle said she had been on temporary lay-off since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic and received no notice pay or public holiday entitlements. The club did not attend the hearing. The adjudication officer also allowed her redundancy appeal and found she was entitled to a statutory lump sum, subject to insurable employment. Three other complaints were withdrawn.
