The Workplace Relations Commission directed Shanahan’s on the Green to pay Giuseppe Tota €2,040.93 compensation after upholding his Payment of Wages Act complaint. Adjudication officer Conor Stokes dated the decision 27 March 2025. Tota said he was owed final-week wages, payment for untaken annual leave and notice pay. The WRC found €680.31 due for his final week and €1,360.62 for two weeks’ notice, and said the respondent contravened the Act. It could not determine the annual-leave claim because Tota could not establish how many days remained. The respondent did not attend the hearing.
