The Workplace Relations Commission awarded Nicola Wren €540 after finding J&E Peacon Ltd failed to pay her one week’s notice wages when the business ceased operating immediately. Adjudication Officer Peter O’Brien’s decision was dated 30 September 2025. Wren, a manager and senior stylist, said the €540 was due when the business closed on 25 January 2025. J&E Peacon Ltd did not attend the hearing. The WRC found the notice wages were properly payable and their non-payment amounted to a deduction.
