The Workplace Relations Commission has ordered Wingilt Limited t/a Flatley Engineering to pay Guirges Salib €6,000 compensation after upholding his complaint of disability-related harassment. Adjudication Officer Kara Turner dated the decision 10 November 2025.
The harassment finding concerned communications presenting a new finance-team hire as Salib’s replacement and a 3 July 2024 email seeking an agenda item referring to his role. The employer disputed the claims and said the hire provided backup, with no plan to replace him.
The WRC rejected Salib’s disability discrimination and victimisation complaints, finding no less favourable treatment in the recruitment decision and no evidence of adverse treatment in response to his concerns.
