The Workplace Relations Commission awarded Mrs Chui Mui Lim €2,000 after finding she was unfairly dismissed by Qing Fu He t/a Eskimo Pizza Greystones. Lim said she was told not to return to work from 8 December 2024 because there were too many staff. The adjudicator found that requiring her not to return amounted to dismissal and no due process was followed. Her minimum wage complaint was outside the WRC’s jurisdiction; her payment of wages complaint was not well founded.
