WRC rejects Jason Hogan’s unfair dismissal complaint against Kareplan

The Workplace Relations Commission found that Jason Hogan was not unfairly dismissed by Kareplan Limited after he uploaded training certificates for a colleague. Adjudication Officer Andrew Heavey’s decision, dated 22 October 2025, found the complaint not well founded; no compensation was awarded. Hogan said he mistakenly uploaded five or six certificates to help his colleague and denied dishonesty. Kareplan said an investigation found he had uploaded about six certificates despite the colleague not completing the required training. The officer accepted that the uploads breached trust and confidence and amounted to gross misconduct under the company’s policy.
