The Workplace Relations Commission dismissed Marie Creedon’s employment equality complaint against Morgan McKinley as misconceived in a decision dated 1 May 2025. Creedon initially said she had been treated less favourably under the civil status ground, but confirmed in evidence that the complaint did not fall under that ground. The adjudication officer also asked about the other protected grounds; Creedon said each applied to her case. The decision does not describe the treatment at issue. The adjudicator found that it did not fall under any protected ground and deemed the complaint misconceived. Morgan McKinley had argued that the complaint was misconceived. No compensation was awarded.
