WRC dismisses four complaints against Pioneer Homecare after complainant misses hearing

The Workplace Relations Commission found Jennifer Donnelly’s four complaints against Pioneer Homecare Limited were not well founded after she did not attend the hearing. No award was recorded. The complaints concerned two unfair dismissal claims, employment information and minimum notice. Donnelly’s former representative said it had lost contact with her and could not pass on the hearing notice. Pioneer Homecare attended ready to proceed. Adjudication officer Monica Brennan noted it was the fifth hearing date offered and that no evidence had been presented in support of the complaints; the decision did not assess their merits on evidence from Donnelly.
