The Workplace Relations Commission found that Stanislav Shabanovych was procedurally unfairly dismissed by Forte Pespa and directed the company to pay him €1,000 compensation. The decision was dated 27 November 2025. Shabanovych said he was dismissed after photographing workplace safety issues. Forte Pespa said it ended his employment over safety breaches and conduct. The WRC found the company did not give advance notice of a disciplinary meeting or an opportunity to respond or appeal, and did not investigate its concerns about the photographs. It also found that Shabanovych’s conduct significantly contributed to the dismissal.
