WRC rejects unfair dismissal claim after finding worker resigned

The Workplace Relations Commission found that Aleksandras Jacukevicius was not dismissed by Icm Company Management and Secretarial Services Limited, trading as Swift Composites, and rejected his unfair dismissal complaint. The decision was dated 8 April 2025; no compensation was awarded. Jacukevicius said he had not resigned and expected to return after his holiday. The company said he had told his manager he was leaving for another job. The adjudication officer found he resigned and was not dismissed, citing the messages exchanged and his failure to contact the company or return when it reopened.
