The Workplace Relations Commission found it had no jurisdiction over Paul Harrison's minimum notice complaint against Your Event Entertainments Ltd. The decision was dated 8 April 2025. The merits were not decided. Harrison said he led Sax on Fire and that the company set his assignments and schedules. The company disputed that he was an employee, citing his work with other bands, invoices and his ability to accept or reject assignments. The adjudication officer found the company lacked sufficient control to establish an employment contract, with the ability to accept or reject work a key factor.
