The Workplace Relations Commission directed Bgs Security Ltd to pay Sogo Ogunmola €5,007.61 in compensation after finding his complaint about unpaid wages well founded. Adjudication officer Catherine Byrne’s decision was dated 18 February 2025. Ogunmola said he received wages for his first two weeks as a security guard but was not paid for work from 1 May to 30 June 2024. The WRC found €4,311.61 in net wages remained unpaid and that he was entitled to four days’ holiday pay. No one attended for the company at the hearings.
