WRC rejects James Cregan’s wage and notice complaints against Perigon Construction Management Ltd

The Workplace Relations Commission rejected three complaints by James Cregan against Perigon Construction Management Ltd, making no award. He claimed unpaid mileage expenses and one week’s notice pay, and alleged he had not received statutory notice. The officer found the mileage claim was outside the referral period and expenses were excluded from wages under the Payment of Wages Act. The other wage complaint was rejected for the same reasons; the minimum-notice complaint was also outside the time limit, and the Act was not contravened.
