WRC dismisses Paulo Lima’s employment complaints as out of time

The Workplace Relations Commission had no jurisdiction to decide Paulo Lima’s complaints against Bidvest Noonan (RoI) Limited because they were submitted outside the statutory time limit, adjudication officer Catherine Byrne ruled in a decision dated 27 January 2025. Lima alleged that he was not paid for two hours he worked and was asked to perform duties outside his list. He also brought complaints under working-time, unfair dismissal and equality laws. The WRC did not decide any of the allegations on their merits.
