The Workplace Relations Commission (WRC) directed Dinin Experiences Ltd., trading as Karen´s Diner, to pay Carenin Rosa De Oliveira €450, €231 and €115 after upholding three complaints over unpaid tips, gratuities and service charges. The decision was dated 6 May 2025. De Oliveira said the amounts had accumulated during her six months at the restaurant. The company conceded some money was owed but provided no evidence to calculate it, and no company witness gave evidence. The adjudicator accepted De Oliveira’s evidence that she was seeking what should have been paid to her.
