The Workplace Relations Commission found Christina Doyle was unfairly dismissed from her cleaner’s job at the Board of Management of Our Lady of Hope School and awarded her €5,000 compensation. Doyle said the principal told her she was being given two weeks’ notice after accusing her of leaving a bucket containing bleach in a hallway; she denied leaving it. The school said she resigned after a discussion about the bucket. The WRC found a complete absence of fair procedures and noted the school presented no sworn evidence.
