The Workplace Relations Commission found for Occipital Ltd. in a disability discrimination complaint by Paul McNamara, in a decision dated 17 December 2025. The officer ruled that McNamara’s claim about four months of unpaid sick pay in 2022 was out of time; his job application complaint failed because he had not established a prima facie case. McNamara alleged discrimination over unpaid sick pay and an unsuccessful application for a permanent job with a client company. Occipital denied discrimination and said the client controlled recruitment. The officer also found the job was with the client, not Occipital. No award was recorded.
