The Workplace Relations Commission ordered The Food Point Limited to pay Jeneffe Silva €1,507.19 for unpaid November salary and accrued leave, and €81.47 for unpaid Sunday work, plus €500 compensation for breach of statutory rights. It also found her notice-pay complaint not well founded because she had not worked the 13 weeks required for statutory minimum notice. In a decision dated 10 February 2025, the WRC declined jurisdiction over Silva’s minimum-wage complaint because she had not requested a written statement of her average hourly rate. The decision said she could re-enter the complaint after complying with that requirement, subject to time limits. The company accepted the unpaid wages and leave claim and had offered a payment plan of about €90 a month, which Silva did not accept.
