The Workplace Relations Commission (WRC) has ordered Golden Sun Tanning Limited to pay receptionist and beautician Monta Gedrovica-Arshad €680, equivalent to two weeks’ pay, after finding she had not received a written statement of her employment terms. The WRC decision, dated 9 August 2024, said Gedrovica-Arshad disputed the signature and working hours on a purported contract and told the hearing she had never seen it. The adjudication officer accepted that the signature was not hers. The company did not attend the hearing. The WRC found the complaint under the Terms of Employment (Information) Act 1994 well founded and directed the payment.
